Lemon drizzle cake

This Lemon Drizzle Cake is a timeless classic. Made with equal parts of butter, sugar, eggs, and flour—this cake is infused with the zest of two lemons for a fresh citrusy flavour. Once baked, it's soaked in a tangy lemon syrup and then finished with a simple, lemon icing and optional zest.

Outstanding dessert! I used Bob’s Redmill Almond Flour -as my wife has Celiac. Look at that end cut photo! We’re at 6265’ elevation in Colorado. It didn’t rise as much as expected, but the taste and texture is superb. Next time I’ll add more liquid and longer cooking time. A must learn to master dessert recipe. This is better than anything you can order at a cafe/coffee shop.

Lemon cake was incredible. I forgot a photo but mine also collapsed in the middle a bit. Still tasted amazing though!

Hey Andrew, glad it still tasted amazing! Collapsing middle is often from under-baking or the oven being too hot at the start. Another bake could take you to perfection! 🍋😊

Hey I’ll be giving it another go! First cake I’ve ever made and it was almost there 👍🏼. It also majorly overflowed the bread tin (which I’m reliably informed was a 2Ib tin!!) and my eggs weighed less than yours was I adjusted the ingredients accordingly

Absolutely loved this. My first cake I've baked, ever! OK, so I went a bit maverick with the icing sugar and lemon slices on top, but who cares! Tyler's instructions clear and easy. If I can do it, everyone can.
