This recipe made 5 and befofe i could take a picture of all of them together they were buttered and eaten by the rest of the family!! Amazing and easy recipe to follow as always thankyou!!!

I can’t get these right they’re too stodgy- bit more like Yorkshire puddings not sure what I’m doing wrong

Sorry to hear, Laura! If they're turning out stodgy, it might be the batter is too thick or not bubbly enough. Maybe try giving the mix a bit more time to ferment or check if the water was warm enough to activate the yeast. Good luck, and happy crumpet making!

Batter looked good but can’t quite get them to cook. Too runny maybe? When I pop the bubbles it just fills up again.

Sounds like the batter might be too thin. Try adding a bit more flour, a tablespoon at a time, until it thickens up. It should hold its shape better while cooking.
