Homemade Apple Crumble & Custard

There’s nothing quite as comforting as a bowl of warm apple crumble, especially when it's paired with warm, creamy vanilla custard. Cinnamon-spiced cooking apples are topped with a golden, buttery crumble for the perfect balance of sweet and tart. Go and get after it!

Got told the crumble was easy and the custard was hard, found it the other way around had issues with the crumble topping but fixed it. 4 people incredibly happy with this and the custard was flipping amazing 👌🏼 thankyou!

Felt the crust was too dry and needed more oats. Would’ve changed a few things.

Sometimes that happens to me too, Victoria. Could be the butter didn’t get rubbed in enough first - adding a bit more or giving those oats another go might help. Don't be shy to tweak the oats and butter and see how it goes. Happy baking!

Guilty of using ready made custard (sorry!) but the crumble was absolutely divine! So easy to make, too.
