Mixed results here, followed ingredients but after tipping out onto surface the dough was still very sticky, needed a nice bit more flour to get it to knead smooth,

Thanks for giving the scones a try, Finbarr! Sometimes the dough can be a bit sticky depending on humidity or slight differences in measuring. Right move there with extra flour - a little sprinkle should help you get a smoother dough. Look great

Having scones without some milk in your tea feels like a criminal offense. Especially ones that are this good. Opted for apricot jam. Had a grand time pretending to be in a Jane Austen novel. 10/10

Recipe suggests 300ml milk + 300ml buttermilk but actually it's either/or. Great recipe to do with kids. Might be worth adding how to make buttermilk with milk and lemon juice (about 1.5 tbs for 300 ml milk)
